Singer and rapper Aaron Carter lived life fast and flashed a lot of expensive possessions, including various cars. However, since his death in 2022 the settling of his estate has apparently been anything but simple. Among the many issues is confusion about what vehicles the musician actually owned at the time of his passing.
Learn who are the muscle car enthusiasts in Hollywood.
A recent article from In Touch digs into this issue, which is surprisingly not straightforward. We think most would assume with all the trappings of wealth Carter enjoyed he would have all kinds of clear hard assets like cars. But all wasn’t as it appeared, at least from what was uncovered.
Using court filings from the administrate of Aaron Carter’s estate, In Touch found some of Carter’s rides are just straight up being abandoned, while others appear to be missing. It all sounds rather messy.
For example, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade Carter posed with often was actually a lease and was repossessed not long after he died. A 2012 Bentley Continental was actually registered to a different man for reasons unexplained.
Three vehicles seem to be just simply missing at this point: a 1999 Yamaha (model not specified), 1967 Buick Rivera, and a 2020 Cati Trailer. Where are those vehicles appears to be a mystery, for now.
But things get even weirder: the estate administrator contacted LAPD and the California DMV to verify ownership. Apparently, Carter wasn’t the registered owner of the Yamaha. That might have been changed just before his death, but we don’t know for sure.
It sounds like the administrator intends on tracking down and selling the missing vehicles, liquidating those assets.
But what’s most shocking is how few vehicles Carter ended up owning at his death. It just goes to show that what you see on social media and such isn’t always reality, especially when it comes to celebrities.
