Grannies can be Instagram stars, too. Eighty-six-year-old Kentucky native Baddie Winkle, who boasts 735,000 Instagram followers, is the latest senior to become the face of a new campaign—posing in swimsuits for Dimepiece, a streetwear brand targeting Coachella festivalgoers.

“Baddie Winkle teams up with DimePiece L.A. to prove, once again, that you’re never too old to be the baddest bish in the room,” the company wrote on Instagram about their new “State of Mind” campaign. “The brand has always stood for timeless female empowerment and continues to encourage this mindset in their newest campaign.” The swimwear shoot, photographed by Nikko La Mere, features Winkle posing poolside, playing with pineapples, and even drinking a beer. The brand is set to make a splash during festival season, with a billboard at the exit for Coachella in Indio, California.

Dimepiece isn’t the first to take this approach. As part of a growing trend, older equals better in the modeling world, with Helen Mirren and Diane Keaton, both 69, repping L’Oréal Paris, Charlotte Rampling, 69, modeling for Nars, Joan DIdion, 80, for Celine, Joni Mitchell, 71, for Saint Laurent, Lauren Hutton, 71, as the face of J.Crew, and Iris Apfel, 93, for MAC Cosmetics.

While Dimepiece may be a trendy brand aimed at twenty-somethings, their clever campaign has already grabbed the attention of Miley Cyrus. The singer is completely smitten with Winkle, letting the world know about her new style icon via Instagram. “Happy people stay young forevvvvaaa and evaaaaa <3 every age, size, shape, and gender is beauuuuuttttyyyyy & bad a$$! Fuck yeah Dimepiece for celebrating coooooooool a$$ humannnnn beinnngz! @baddiewinkle for being a bad a$$ role model for all of us!!!!!!” Cyrus wrote on Monday. She even Photoshopped herself into a campaign photo with Winkle, writing, “Gettin Muah tan on wiff @baddiewinkle.” Winkle returned the love, Photoshopping herself into a swimsuit photo with Cyrus, writing, “hey babe @mileycyrus.”

Can an octogenarian really rule Coachella and be a style icon for youngsters? For once, we side with Miley Cyrus. Someone get this babe a flower crown.
