Ayesha Curry just snagged a gig with a major beauty brand
Following the recent news that Insecure star Issa Rae had become CoverGirl’s newest beauty ambassador, the iconic brand has announced another celeb who will be repping it. The newest addition to the CoverGirl family is Ayesha Curry, author of national bestseller The Seasoned Life and star of the Food Network’s Ayesha’s Home Kitchen.
Curry announced the new partnership on Instagram with a photo of herself looking in a vanity mirror with a flawless full face of makeup. The image followed with a heartfelt lengthy caption that read, “My first makeup memory was running down the beauty aisles with my mom getting to pick my very own lipstick. It was a COVERGIRL pink glittery lipstick that made me feel so good about myself — even though it probably wasn’t my shade. Well, I am so excited to share that now I get to take my baby girls down those same aisles, and they get to see their mama as a #COVERGIRL! I am so honored and thrilled to join the iconic women of the #COVERGIRL family and be a part of a brand that empowers women to embrace their originality.”
Her fans immediately praised the new collaboration, and her Instagram post has already received over 104,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments.

In a recent statement, the 28-year-old wife of NBA star Stephen Curry and mother of two children said, “My philosophy is all about seeking joy and creating balance in life. I’ve shared a lot about how I do this with food, family and faith, and now — through my partnership with CoverGirl — I want to share how makeup helps create those moments of happiness, confidence and self-expression.” Similar to Curry’s viewpoints on her new brand relationship, CoverGirl also expressed in a statement, “Ayesha’s joyful energy, big personality, and strong viewpoints and perspectives on the world around her embody CoverGirl’s philosophy of empowering women to fearlessly and relentlessly pursue their passions and boldly express themselves to the world.”
The brand has also announced that Curry will be the star of an upcoming campaign for its Peacock Flare Mascara, which will be available this coming November. The new lash-enhancing product promises to deliver fanned-out lashes in as few as two strokes.
Curry takes great pride in her latest endeavor and told Glamour how she hopes to inspire other young women. “I hope they see a girl who had hopes and dreams and made them come to life, and I hope it inspires them to do the same,” she said. “You don’t have to just be one thing. And you can use makeup as a tool to empower yourself.”
Curry’s fans are already freaking out about her recent accomplishment, and have been expressing their love on Twitter. Looks like mega beauty brand CoverGirl is on a roll this year when it comes to being inclusive and representing all women — and many people are totally here for it! We will have to stay tuned to see who’s next!
