Backstage Secrets: The Easy Trick to Get Your Eyeliner Right Every Time
Models at Chromat had diverse body shapes, hair textures, and skin colors, and the beauty team maintained each woman’s individuality on the runway. Aveda hair stylist Jon Reyman spoke to our Beauty Director, Dana Oliver, about the two different styles that we saw on the runway this weekend. Straight haired girls wore intricately sectioned ponytails to mimic the graphic blockiness in the collection, whereas curly haired girls maintained their natural texture, with a fuzzier finish, rather than an overly set curl pattern.
One thing was universal, though. Models all had flawless skin and graphic eyes. Fatima Thomas, a senior artist at MAC Cosmetics, let us in on her secret for perfectly symmetrical liner every time. “Dot it out, connect the dots,” she told us. Watch the video above for the details of her simple trick and all the best backstage beauty moments at Chromat.
