Bodybuilder Slammed for Body-Shaming a Stranger With ‘Love Handles’ at Gym
Last year Playboy‘s 2015 Playmate of the Year, Dani Mathers, posted a photo to Snapchat invading a woman’s privacy while she changed in a gym locker room, and body-shaming her. Mather received a huge backlash for her cruel post.
It’s happened again.
Diana Andrews, an Instagram-famous bodybuilder from London, recently shared a photo of a woman working out at the gym to her Instagram Story feed. The image, taken from behind, shows a woman running on the treadmill with the text “love handles” emblazoned below her hips.
Andrews didn’t let it go at that, though. The next slide of the story contained the words “I bet she’s ordering burgers for delivery,” with several burger emoji.
Not surprisingly, people were having none of her rude comments. The Huffington Post reports that Andrews’s post was shared on a women’s Facebook support group with the caption “This is why most people hate going to the gym to try and better themselves.”
Who sponsors her? #Boycot

Dearest #DianaAndrews, my wife and I started as those overweight women in the gym. Together we lost over 200#. So, you know what? Fuck you. pic.twitter.com/Am4Z4wYRO1

Andrews later apologized on Snapchat, writing, “I realise I was wrong to make this silly joke. It wasn’t my intention to body shame, hurt or disrespect anyone.”
She also apologized on her Facebook page, which now appears to have been set to private along with Andrew’s Instagram.
“I saw this girl walking on the treadmill talking on her phone and I made a video and added a comment that she’s probably ordering take away.”
“The whole point of this video was that she’s using her phone while on the treadmill. The whole story was turned upside down by taking a screenshot and adding comments that I’m body shaming this woman. I would never do this, it’s not who I am.”
Whether it was Andrews’s intention to shame her fellow gymgoer or not, her cruel post makes clear that body-shaming is still running rampant in society.
