We’ve seen quite a few crazy beauty trends pop up on Instagram in the past few months (remember all those “100 Layers” videos?), but now, a new trend has emerged and truth be told, it might be the most mesmerizing yet.

Instagrammers everywhere have begun filming their own hair commercials —well, kind of. Known as “bun dropping,” the trend consists of social media users sharing videos of themselves unraveling their buns (or sometimes their ponytails,) and shaking their hair out for the camera. For dramatic effect, some women are putting the clips up in slow motion or setting it to music where a bass drops at the moment their bun does.
