Check Out the $10 Lipstick That Eva Mendes Loves
Actress, fashion entrepreneur, and face of Esteé Lauder Eva Mendes recently shared a photo on Facebook of herself having an almost-too-good-to-be-true nude lipstick applied by her makeup artist. The neutral shade worked well with Mendes’s deep smoky eye makeup, rose-blushed cheeks, and tanned skin. As perfect as the lipstick looked, you’d assume that it would cost a pretty penny.
Nope.
Her lipstick was only $10. And, as referenced in her caption, she used Circa Beauty Color Absolute Velvet Luxe Lipstick in Lana, which can be purchased right at your local Walgreens.
Mendes is the creative director and face of Circa Beauty, so naturally she uses products from the drugstore beauty line. In 2015, she told Yahoo Beauty, “I was very excited about creating a quality, prestige product available at a place like Walgreens that’s so accessible, with beautiful packaging with a variety of shade ranges — that is very important to me as a Latin woman.”
Circa Beauty’s website describes Mendes’s recent lip pick as “pigment-rich and feather-light.” It also notes, “This silky lipstick glides weightlessly across the lips delivering intense color in a single swipe with a velvety soft finish.” Twelve highly pigmented shades are available, and they are all enriched with nourishing ingredients such as jojoba and sweet almond oil. What’s the very best part? They cost only a few more bucks than a medium-sized Starbucks coffee.
