Chrissy Teigen Shares Her Stretch Marks ... Again
Chrissy Teigen’s an open book, sharing everything on her popular social media accounts including adorable pictures of her daughter Luna and PDA with her husband John Legend to her cooking adventures and primping sessions. She also voices her opinion on important topics, like body image and stigmas in society relating to the topic.
The latest example of the model’s refreshing forthrightness: she shared a picture of stretch marks on her inner thighs with the caption, “Whatevs.”

Never one to miss out on a joke, Teigen later tweeted, “I do not post stretchies for the praise. I post it because the wine also I like the pattern and they’re so soft.” However, that didn’t stop a number of users from commenting back to Teigen and commending her for her positive influence.

The 31-year-old often posts unedited images of her stretch marks in order to combat not only the stigma associated with them but also the shamers who love to draw attention to them.
In April 2015, Teigen posted a shot of her legs to Instagram, in which the marks were visible. She wrote alongside the image, “Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!”

Despite — or possibly because of — being a model who’s covered magazines in next to nothing (and even once or twice just nothing), Teigen’s become a body positive advocate.
“Anyone who knows the in and outs of the modeling industry and social media [knows] you see people touching themselves up on a daily basis, and you don’t even know what anyone looks like anymore,” she told NBC’s TODAY in 2015. “Honestly, I don’t have the kind of Instagram feed where I’m scrolling through and seeing real women. And that is killing me because I know what these girls look like and it’s not fair.”
The model wants women to know that what they see in magazines isn’t always realistic.
“I want people to know that when I go do a Sports Illustrated shoot, I’m insecure because I’m looking at all these beautiful women too and I am not perfect,” she added. “And even though it may look like that from Photoshop, we’re just not.”
