‘Flip or Flop’ Star Christina El Moussa Snaps Back at Mommy Shamers Livid Over ‘Sickening’ Instagrams
Fans and followers of the ubiquitous Flip or Flop host Christina El Moussa flipped out at the TV personality this weekend. The offending transaction: posting a bikini picture with her daughter and looking for accolades for the display on social media. Some in the rapt audience called it “sickening” and “inappropriate.”

Almost as if responding to the backlash, El Moussa posted another image on Instagram featuring her children at a slumber party, and some onlookers expressed their concern about her toddler son being too close to the water.
While El Moussa hadn’t chimed in on the comments around her bikini photo, she ended up responding both to those who deemed it inappropriate to share pictures of her children in swimming attire and to those who were worried about whether her children were in any danger.

Her caption read: “Our first slumber party!! … 6 kids, a dog and 2 moms. So fun, crazy, but so fun … @caraclarknutrition … love you always … *sorry just realized kids in swimwear again.. it’s cali people it’s what we do*”
And, following the so-called concern over her child’s safety, the HGTV personality dropped into her comment stream, responding:
“OMG 1. It’s a beach entry if he fell in it’s only a foot high, he would be ok 2. It’s not his first time in or around the pool, but thanks for your ‘concern’ aka judgment,” El Moussa replied. “3. AND most importantly I am right there and could be to him in 3 seconds SMH at this …..!!!!”
Many of El Moussa’s followers came to her defense against the negative comments, showing that mommy shaming is as hot a topic on social media as one might think. El Moussa’s two posts have upwards of 50,000 likes and thousands of comments between them.
“Don’t worry about the negative remarks from people, Christina,” wrote user nataliavanore. “You were there. Many people around me aren’t around when their kids are outside. They want kids but don’t want to be bothered by them. They’re too busy with themselves, or their phones. At least you let your kids explore and be kids.”
Another user, nastynate2424, opined on the original hubbub: “Unbelievable there had been any uproar over a simple photo of a mom and daughter in their bathing suits. Big whoop, it’s a nice photo. Christina is a doll.”
