Diane Kruger Slays 4 Looks in 2 Days at Venice Film Festival

The Venice Film Festival only kicked off on Wednesday, but I’ve already crowned Diane Kruger the beauty winner of the week. Somehow the star, who is serving on the festival’s jury, looked impossibly chic right off the plane in Italy. She also looked radiant as she changed her look and outfit three times on Thursday — each style cooler and more glamorous than the next.
While I’m definitely not #teamsweatpants when it comes to airline travel, everytime I deplane I feel bloated, sweaty, and tired. I’m always envious of women who arrive at the airport looking not only pulled together but downright dazzling. Kruger is clearly one of those ladies. Sure, maybe she had an army of stylist to perfectly tousle her hair after a nap at 30,000 feet, but her clever use of accessories (her round Komono sunglasses are the perfect disguise for dark circles) and a swipe of glossy pink lipstick and she looks fresh-faced for her arrival in Venice.

The next day, Kruger arrived for her jury photo call with loose waves and minimal makeup. Her matte face was offset with filled-in brows, pink glossy lips, and soft neutral shadow.
For the opening ceremony, Kruger went ultra glam in a white crystal-embroidered Prada dress with a matching cape. Her makeup was essentially the same, but refreshed with an extra dose of mascara. The hair was a head-turner, quite literally, as the back is even more magnificent than the front. Stylist Perrine Rougemont combed her hair into a side-parted updo that’s somehow tangled and twisty yet still exquisite. The best part of this unique hairstyle? It was cool enough to pull double duty when Kruger changed into a bright red Cushnie et Ochs for the opening dinner.
Just two days in, Kruger has surely had the best hair, the best makeup, and the best outfits. Can she keep up the momentum for another nine days? I’m rooting for her, if only to serve as inspiration and motivation for better beauty days.
