Even Emma Watson’s Beauty Routine Is Green
Emma Watson turned her press tour for Beauty and the Beast into an opportunity for good. Instead of using the events as an opportunity to lift herself up, she created a separate Instagram account dedicated to the sustainable fashion she’s wearing on the road to promote environmentalism. However, her dedication to green living doesn’t just stop at her clothing — she also chooses eco-friendly beauty products.
Watson’s latest posts detail products from skincare to lipstick to bronzer. She walks fans through the thoughtful reasoning behind her product choices and seems to only use organic, fair trade items.
“Powder by @iliabeauty which is made from organic powdered corn and minerals instead of loose talc,” she explains in one caption. “Hair styling using @johnmastersorganicsusa who created their first organic haircare products in 1991 and use bottles made from the most recyclable plastic type and boxes made from 100% recycled paper with 100% soy ink,” she shared.
In a rare move for a celebrity, the product lists read far less like sponsored or endorsement deals with companies and simply like a woman using her platform to raise awareness.
Most recently, on a flight from Paris to London, she wore products from RMS Beauty, Alima Pure, Tata Harper, Jane Iredale, Ilia Beauty, Honest Beauty, Vita Liberata. She even has her product choices verified by Content Beauty, a lead e-tailer in the natural beauty field.
As Watson continues hyping Beauty and the Beast, natural beauty fans should follow the_press_tour for what’s shaping up to be a long list of must-try beauty companies.
