Gabrielle Union Just Shared a Zit Selfie and Fans Freaked Out

At 43 years old, Gabrielle Union is probably one of the most gracefully aging celebrities in Hollywood at the moment. Whether she’s walking the red carpet or taking a makeup-free selfie on her Instagram account, her skin is typically blemish-, pore-, and wrinkle-free every single time. Seriously, it’s not every day that we can catch a glimpse of Union sporting anything other than her perfect skin, so when a tiny (and, yes, we mean minuscule) blemish or imperfect facial angle does arise from the star, fans are usually the first ones to point it out.

In a selfie shared on Instagram before the premiere of her latest film, Almost Christmas, fans attacked Union for her appearance. Despite the fact that her long lashes, thick brows, and glowing skin were at the same level of greatness that those ultra-flattering Snapchat filters are made of, fans claimed her nose looked altered, her skin was breaking out, and that her face looked plastic. “This new nose looks terrible,” said one commenter, with another writing, “just see how she really looks without the Hollywood makeup and touch-up.” See the post for yourself, below:

Considering Union has been a major advocate for Alicia Keys’s no-makeup revolution, we aren’t too surprised by her confidence to show off her makeup-free skin to all 7 million of her Instagram followers — and with good reason.

After a close look at both pictures, it’s pretty clear that Union is flawless with or without makeup. We can’t help but love Union’s confidence — even when confronted by several harsh social media critics.
