Get Her Look: Gigi Hadid at the MTV Movie Awards

Model Gigi Hadid stunned on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards with gorgeous choppy bangs (that we’re fairly certain are clipped in) and makeup to match her mod look.
Hadid is a face of Maybelline, and she naturally turned to the pros there for a gorgeous — and affordable! — look. Sarah Tanno for Maybelline New York created her glow.
“We wanted to create a nod to Donatella Versace’s signature black-rimmed eye — but with a twist of neon yellow that makes it punkier,” Tanno says about the inspiration for the look.
Here’s how you can copy the look at home:
To give the skin a soft semi-matte finish, Tanno first applied Dream Velvet Foundation all over, then added Fit Me Concealer in a shade slightly lighter than Gigi’s skin tone down the center of the nose and under the eyes to brighten. A light dusting of Facestudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Powder in Translucent set it all in place.
To contour and enhance Gigi’s stunning bone structure, Tanno used bronze shade in the Facestudio Master Contour Face Contouring Pro Palette in Medium to Deep in the hallows of the cheeks and temples. Then Tanno captured an ultra-warm flush by applying the blush to the apples and added a wash of the highlighting shade along the high point of the cheekbones.
To frame the face, Gigi’s brow arches were traced with Eyestudio Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in Blonde before Tanno brushed on Eyestudio Brow Drama Mascara in Blonde to set the look.
The drama in Gigi’s look was truly the eyes. Tanno swiped Eyestudio Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in Barely Beige all over the eyelids as a base and Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Soft Nude was drawn along the waterline for a bright-eyed look. To elevate the drama, the outer half of the top and bottom lash lines were edged with Eyestudio Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in Charcoal Chrome and the matte black shade of the Rock Nudes Palette was blended into the creases to create dimension. Tanno added a fun shock of color with a neon yellow pigment that she brushed onto the upper lids and at the inner corners.
Two coats of Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara in Blackest Black topped off Gigi’s dramatic eyes.
“Gigi loves a nude lip, and I wanted it to last all night,” Tanno says. To make that happen, she lined and filled in Gigi’s lips with Color Sensational Lip Liner in Nude before adding layers of Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Thrill and Color Sensational the Buffs Lipstick in Bare All.
