Another Chanel show, another major dose of beauty inspiration. The luxury brand showed it’s 2016 cruise collection in Seoul, South Korea on Monday, with models hitting the runway with bright pink lips, doll like lashes, major braids, and pencil defined brows.
Makeup artist Tom Pecheux was behind the makeup, and while you might not recreate the exact look (I’m still trying to figure out how to make brows like that work for the office), a pop of color on the lips and the lash details are a fun way to mix up your routine.
When it comes to pink lips, which is already one of our favorite spring trends, it’s all about keeping the rest of your face nude and minimal so they really stand out. Try Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Fascinante ($36) or Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Orchid ($8) for that perfect pink pout.
As for those lashes, have some fun. Pecheux varied the placement of small strips of falsies on models, with someone landing at the center of the eye, on top and bottom, and others at the outer corners. Working with these smaller sections tend to be easier to apply. If you’re a newcomer to the false lash game—try Ardell Accent Lashes Black #301 ($4) to get the look.

Sam McKnight created a playful hair look that involved various braid crowns and buns created with fake hair. While I don’t recommend running out and buying a cart full of extensions at your beauty supply store, you can still recreate the look at home by wrapping a classic three strand braid around the crown of your head (make sure you’ve got some bobby pins on hand). If you want to go for something with a little more personality, try this Deconstructed Crown Braid.
