Halle Berry's Hair Was on Point While She Chugged Whiskey at Comic-Con

Halle Berry is in her prime, and she is not afraid to show it. When the 50-year-old actress attended San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday afternoon with her co-stars from Kingsman: The Golden Circle, she was ready to impress all the fangirls and -boys with perfectly laid-back hair, an army-green romper casually opened just-so, and a very unexpected trick up her sleeve.

First: The hair, which she was definitely feeling, as she posted a photo of it Thursday evening, writing: “When you know your hair is on fleek.” Those thick waves, the caramel and copper highlights, and gorgeous little bun are just stunning enough to make us forgive her for using “on fleek.”

The Izzy Utility Romper from Hudson Jeans (thanks to The Daily Mail for identifying that one), which sells for $295 at Nordstrom, is one of those styles that mysteriously manages to look simultaneously like it would suit a factory worker and a highly paid action star. For Berry, it’s all in the styling: Rolled-up sleeves and shirt unbuttoned to the navel to reveal her lacy black top and layered black necklaces.

So, beauty and fashion fans are totally impressed by just looking at still photos of this, right? Then she had an unexpected opportunity to show off a completely different side of herself during the panel. The movie, a sequel to 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, features the British spy agency’s alliance with their American counterparts, the Statesmen. The Statesmen produce bourbon called The Statesman Reserve, The Wrap reports, and a bottle of the stuff was passed around to the folks on the stage. We’re not sure if it was on purpose, but Berry somehow received a pint glass instead of the shot glass everyone else got. Channing Tatum poured her glass half full, for laughs.

The last laugh was Berry’s, though, when the moderator urged, “Chug!”

“Oh I can, now,” she replied. “Would you like to see that?”

At which point, everyone in the audience, and those of us at home became frat boys, completely impressed with her drinking ability (not that anyone condones binge-drinking, of course). Actually, it might be even more impressive that she was able to walk off the stage without falling.
