Jessica Alba’s Hair Is Emoji Inspired, Because Why Not?
Emoji are tiny virtual images that are used to express emotions or ideas. They also can serve as inspiration for hair, makeup, and fashion looks (because, why not?). Just this week, actress Jessica Alba posted a photo of a hair look inspired by an emoji you may be familiar with, especially if you’ve taken a beach vacation.
Alba’s Instagram selfie shows off her voluminous waves of honey-blond hair. She superimposed an ocean waves emoji at the bottom to indicate what the look was inspired by. Her caption further confirms her hair inspo.

Alba’s hairstylist, Jennifer Yepez, posted the same photo and mentions that there were only two key products used to get the look, and both are from Alba’s line Honest Beauty. She used Honestly Heat Defense Spray, which is a protecting shield to keep hair from getting damaged from styling, and the Honestly Uplifted Volumizing Spray, which is packed with pea proteins to boost fullness and shine.
Alba’s emoji-inspired hair is a win, and her selfie game is strong enough to keep her 9.8 million followers in love with her. One fan of the look commented, “such pure natural beauty what a picture as yours always are but then again you could wear fishing gear and still look stunning your pics just get better more pretty in each one Jessica.” Another wrote, “You are always flawless….most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I adore you keep up the good work.”
Get your waves to roll just as seamlessly as the ocean waves emoji by blow-drying your hair on medium heat with a round brush to help lift your roots and add height to your ‘do. Also, follow with a large wand curler to create a soft tousled look like Alba’s.
