Kourtney Kardashian on Her Wedding Fears and Not Saying "Fat" Around Her Daughter
Kourtney Kardashian's house is so stupid-big and light and airy and exactly as seen on TV. Late last July, I posted up on the eldest DASH sister's Christian Liaigre couch that was TBH, kinda itchy. The occasion: to interview her for the October issue of Cosmo on newsstands now. To get to her living room I had to (1) present a government-issued ID at the gate (one of two) to the exclusive Calabasas enclave, and (2) promise to keep all the family secrets - read: sign a three-page-deep nondisclosure agreement.
Over the course of two hours, a lot happened - and a lot didn't, which is sort of the essence of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. We ate salads, as they do. Kourtney's usual: The Chef's Special from Healthnut in Calabasas - no sprouts, no tomatoes, sub avocado for mozzarella. She doesn't do dairy. And we talked about the family, as they do.
Penelope was impressively chill for a 4-year-old and escaped from her nanny's watch too many times to count. She clearly runs the joint. Mason rolled through doing whatever it is that 6-year-olds do. When he lingered with us a little too long, Kourtney tasked him to count the motorcade of luxury kiddie vehicles that line the family's basketball court (21, he reported back). "That includes scooters and bikes" his nanny noted. Still, that's a whole lotta whips - more than even their Aunt/King Kylie owns.
It's too soon to say whether or not the Disick kids will have ever have their own show (Doing Things With the Disicks?). But based on my afternoon spent at Chez Kardashian Disick, it seems inevitable. Until then, their mom will do all the talking. Listen in.
What's the story with Rob unfollowing Blac Chyna?
We were in San Diego for my grandma's birthday and I actually asked her, "Did Rob unfollow you or something?" She was like, "No!" I think he deleted all of his posts and most of them were with her, so people were like, "He's deleted her!" He just does that. That's him. He'll delete every post, unfollow everybody, then follow everybody. But they're good.
How often do you see Scott?
We try to do as much with the kids together as possible. He pretty much comes here every day. Last night, he came over and watched a movie with Mason. North was here, Kim was here. But, like, this house, everyone's in and out. I'll come home and Kim will be hanging out at the kitchen table having lunch with North, Penelope, and all the kids. I'm like, "Oh, I didn't know you were even here!"
It's weird to have an ex be so close to your family - does that ever annoy you?
Not really. He doesn't have a mom and dad anymore - or siblings. He's an only child. So they're his family too. They're in the loop if I am annoyed at him but if he needs to talk to them, I think it's only beneficial to us keeping a good relationship. A lot of how a person's doing is the company you keep. If they could be influences on him instead of some of the people he chooses to hang out with, it's only a positive thing. Everyone's pretty respectful about telling me, "Oh, I'm gonna go to dinner with Scott tonight," just so I know what's going on.

What's your take on nude selfies?
It's just not my thing. I'm confident to a degree but I don't like to post too much where it's like trying to be too sexy. I mean, I've posted ones in my lingerie - or Snapchatted them - because that's what I wear when I'm getting ready. Like a bra, underwear, robe. I definitely do that but I'm never really taking photos of myself fully naked. It's out of my comfort zone. Maybe because I have three kids.
Do you consider yourself a super-sexual person?
Yeah, I think I am but I don't just want to have sex with any random person. I'm really picky. My friends are always like, "You're the most picky person we know." Even just about who I talk to or make out with. I wish I could just be like, Whatever, who cares?
Do your friends try to set you up?
No. It's not my priority right now. And I have so many single friends that they would probably take the guys for themselves if they had anyone good.
How strict are you with the kids and eating all natural?
It's our biggest thing. Scott thinks it's such a joke. I'm the one that's like, "No, they need to do it." We try to do gluten- and dairy-free - here at the house, for sure. I'm so annoying, for parties I buy gluten-free, dairy-free cupcakes so they can eat that. I'll make exceptions once in awhile. And I want them to make their own decisions. I'll remind them, "Well, the last time you had ice cream or whatever, your tummy hurt. Are you sure you want it?" But if we're at Disneyland, we're definitely gonna eat churros. You have to live a little bit.
Do you cook a lot?
No. I have my things that I'm good at making, like waffles, pancakes, or scrambled eggs. I have my avocado shake pretty much every day. Sometimes I switch it up. Right now I'm doing banana, spinach, and almond milk, and then I have a salad for lunch. But, no, I'm not a cook.
Kim and Khloé have both had big weddings. Would you ever?
A wedding terrifies me. I like tradition, I don't have anything against that. I think it's more fear of walking down the aisle in front of all those people. I don't like being the center of attention. I mean, Scott and I have talked about it many times over the years. The situation was never right. But I don't think we would've done a big wedding - we would've done something really small, just us and our kids.

What's the backstory on why you guys all say "Bible" all the time?
Kim was like 13 when we started it. We dated brothers, not at the same time though, and they used to say it with their friends, to know that you're telling the truth. You couldn't lie on a Bible. So they would say "Bible" and we got it from them.
This season on KUWTK, you told your mom not to use the word "fat" in front of Penelope. What was that about?
There are so many conversations that we have without thinking the kids are listening. I just don't want to start getting anybody self-conscious. They say if a mother is confident about her body that the daughters are way more likely to not have eating disorders. I'm fine about my body but I'll notice little things. If I'm like, "Ugh, I hate this outfit! I'm changing!" My daughter will try on tons of outfits before she's happy.
How many people do you have working for you personally?
I have an assistant and someone who runs our errands. A big part of that is going to the grocery store and getting the things we need for our dietary stuff. But really any errands, like gifts I need to give, donating, we do a weekly drop off of kids' stuff to a kids' charity - stuff for our Ebay auction, DASH. Then there's my housekeepers. I have two nannies. One for the baby [Reign] so if I'm working she can be focused on him.
Bodyguards?
I don't have one person that's constantly with me. I try to keep things as low-key as possible. When I'm with the kids and go somewhere, I bring as few people as possible. Like today, we're going to the movies, just the kids, Scott, and me. No nannies. I'd rather be doing everything.

What do you miss most about life before fame?
People not judging your every move and commenting on it. But then, we didn't really have social media before, so would that have just been life anyways?
