Lindsay Lohan Posts a Selfie Encouraging Followers to Embrace Aging
Lindsay Lohan is only 30 years old, but she feels like aging has already started to take its toll on her skin. She recently posted a selfie to her Instagram channel with a message to her followers to accept the aging process.
“It’s about that time to recognize gravity is taking over my upper half (or so to speak) #age #numbers #foreveryoung ???????????????????? when you get home. Sit down. Analyze your future & see the wrinkles!” she captioned the image.

Many users commented with positive reinforcements for the star. “You’re still beautiful @lindsaylohan, gravity can’t hold you down,” one person wrote in encouragement. Another reminded Lohan that she’s still very young. “Girl you’re only 30, and so am I. This is where it starts, and as long as you take care of you body and mind, your outside will radiate with you.”
Lohan doesn’t appear to show any significant signs of aging in the posted image, but taking care of her well-being is important for the actress, considering she’s admitted to battling an eating disorder and abusing drugs in the past. “I was sick, and I had people sit me down and say, ‘You’re going to die if you don’t take care of yourself,’” she told Vanity Fair in 2006.
Since then she’s taken steps to improve her life and get help. Upon turning 30 earlier this year, Lohan told Vanity Fair, “I feel great! Age is only a number, right? I have learned a lot over time. I am in a wonderful place in life and look forward to the near and far future and projects that I am working on.”
After a very public breakup with her fiancé amid allegations of abuse, Lohan seems to be focusing not only on her emotional well-being but on her physical appearance as well. She recently vacationed in Bali to write and reflect on life. The controversial star is working on a book about what she has learned from her rather eventful life. “I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles,” she told Vanity Fair. “I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place. I am grateful that I have a voice, which I can now feel comfortable using as a platform to let people know that we all have ups and downs in life, and we can all come up from the downs if we get in touch with our inner self and spiritual side.”
In the meantime, Lindsay continues to look great — in spite of what she thinks gravity is doing to her body.
