Little Girl's Airport Tantrum Sparks Disney Group Sing-Along
A little girl’s tantrum at the airport resulted in an adorable Disney-themed chorus.
Washington-based author Seanan McGuire live-tweeted the entire event on Tuesday while sitting at an unspecified airport. “Oh, wow. Little girl in full meltdown because when her mom packed movies for the trip, she only packed the little boy’s favorites,” McGuire tweeted.
"FINDING NEMO is just as good," says Mom.
"DORY IS A GIRL LIKE ME AND YOU ONLY BROUGHT BOYS LIKE HIM," wails the girl.I feel you, kiddo.

I am so on this kid's side right now you have no idea.

So are we.
Mom: "Don't disturb the other–"
Both kids: "YOU'RE WELCOME YOU'RE WELCOME YOU'RE WELCOME."
Mom: "–passengers."— Seanan McGuire (@seananmcguire) June 13, 2017
Moana is always a great compromise.
Update: I am now on the mom's shit list for helping with the lyrics to "Shiny." Both children now shriek-singing "SHIIIINYYYYYY." I win.

You do win, Seanan. You do.
Mom: You're disturbing people!
Older woman with German accent: Do you want to know how the song goes in German?— Seanan McGuire (@seananmcguire) June 13, 2017
Truly, we all do.
MOM LOOKS TRAPPED, CHILDREN ARE DELIGHTED, THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER.

Why weren’t we in this airport when these festivities went down? Then Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame, who in part wrote and sang on the Moana soundtrack, dipped in.

We have attracted several more children and three more grandparents. I feel my work here is done.

The Twitter thread sparked nostalgia among people with siblings. And some raised issue with the idea of distinguishing films by gender stereotypes. The people who run the official Moana Facebook page even posted a news story about the incident on its page.
Mcguire did not return Yahoo Beauty’s request for comment, however despite the airport chaos, it’s actually a beautiful parenting moment. It truly takes a village!
