Before she rose to fame as a bottle blonde, Madonna rocked her natural brunette hair and natural makeup.

Only Madonna could pull off a headpiece like this without anyone batting an eye. Her Roman-themed Givenchy costumes were as perfect as her blond curls.

Her cool center-parted waves and soft makeup look lovely with her salmon silk frock.

While many stars missed the mark on the evening’s punk theme, this ‘80s veteran looked just right in a mix of studs, plaid, and fishnet, red lipstick, and a black blunt bob.

What do you wear to take in a screening of your own tour? A tux, complete with tophat, faux bob, and red lipstick. If you’re Madonna.

Nowadays it seems like every girl’s wish is to get Madge’s two-toned blond hair with dark roots.

For her ‘70s-inspired “Hung Up” album, Madonna adopted a Farah Fawcett-esque feathered flip hairdo.

During her “Who’s That Girl,” era, the singer when full-on ‘80s with teased hair, and heavily powdered skin.

A voluminous golden ponytail was just right in the ‘90s and pre-dates Ariana Grande by two decades.

While studying for her role as Argentina’s first lady, Eva Perón, Madonna was heavily influenced by Latin culture. Here she wears a braided updo with a netted headpiece and berry lipstick. It’s costume-y yet elegant.

To promote her “Erotica” album, Madge changed up her look quite a bit, including wearing a platinum afro.

Earlier in her career, Madonna often returned to her old Hollywood blond bombshell look with platinum curls, red lips, and glistening jewels. Her “Material Girl” music video even paid tribute to Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.”

During her “Ray of Light” era, the star frequently rocked crimped, braided, and textured hair. Our question: how did she keep it from sticking in her lipgloss?

With a modern shag haircut and sultry eyeliner, Madonna looked all grown up — but still rocking a bustier.

This bleached pixie is definitely the shortest we’ve seen Madonna’s hair, but she still pulls of the look with her sculpted cheekbones.
