Mariah Carey Offers Ultimate Holiday Hair and Makeup Goals in Her Latest Xmas Video

As you wrap last-minute gifts, prepare to exit left on any heavy political talk over family gatherings, and try on your bedazzled New Year’s Eve ‘fit just a few more times, the queen of soulful Christmas carols, Mariah Carey, has just revealed a new video for her famous “Here Comes Santa Claus” hit from her 2010 “Merry Christmas II You” album. Aside from blasting these tunes through the speakers of your iPod dock for the remainder of the holiday season, you just might become obsessed with the “wow” level Mariah has reached here.

Aside from her sizzling-hot sequined red dress (yes, with all the sexy cutouts), Carey is flaunting ravishing ringlets, perfectly chiseled rosy cheeks and full flutters of the most enchanting eyelashes ever.

While it may be true that Mariah has a go-to glam squad on deck at all times, who’s to say you can’t achieve the same level of wow factor with the right tips and techniques? One key component in getting this pop star’s supercute curls begins with having the right curling iron. Start by spritzing your hair with a heat protectant, then use a rattail comb to create a middle part. Proceed to take 1 to 2 inches of your hair at at a time, and carefully wrap around from midpoint to ends. Hold for a few seconds and release. Spray a little holding spray after creating curls, give a slight fluff, and you’re good to go.

And for those fabulously flushed cheeks, all you need to do is crack a smile and use a powder makeup brush to swirl a rose-tinted blush upward from the apples of the cheeks toward the middle of the earlobe. Complete your look by popping on a pair of long, voluminous lashes, or by simply doubling up on coats of mascara, to elongate and thicken the look of your natural lashes. Don’t forget to brush on a little finishing powder to areas where you get oily, to avoid having a messy makeup meltdown. That’s the last thing you need ruining your NYE kiss!
