On Brows: 'Remember, They're Sisters Not Twins'
The beauty world has been advocating big brows since Cara Delevingne hit her first runway a couple of years ago, and thanks to their flattering, face-framing qualities, bold arches aren't going anywhere. Not every face demands Lily Collins-like brows, but you can make the most of what you have.
To start, stop plucking. You can remove obvious strays in between your eyebrows, but try to let them run wild for a few weeks.
In the meantime, use a pencil or makeup brush to draw points on your brow at the inner end (directly above the side of your nostril), at the arch (parallel to the outer side of your iris), and at the outer end (diagonally in line with the side of your nostril and outer corner of your eye).
Using these points as a guideline and an angled brush, fill in any patchy spots along the brow with a powder closely matching your own hair color, following the natural shape of your brows. (If you have barely-there brows, invest in a wax formula so that you can build color directly onto the skin.)
Use a brow gel to brush your brows into place and keep them there. "Remember, they’re sisters, not twins," says Cassandra Garcia, a New York City-based makeup artist. Your brows should look similar but they won’t look identical, so don’t force it.
