& Other Stories Comes to the US
Swedish brand & Other Stories makes their US debut this week. The H&M-backed line launched in Europe nearly two years ago, debuting an eclectic collection of clothes, shoes, and accessories that run the gamut from New York professional to French gamine, with plenty of whimsy mixed in. But most importantly—lots and lots of beauty.

Instead of sticking a few lipsticks at check-out, & Other Stories recruited British makeup artist Lisa Butler—she’s worked on everything from Vogue covers to Vuitton runways—to develop a comprehensive line of products ranging from body scrub to lipstick, including an epic nail polish collection. (My first trip to the store in Paris almost resulted in the purchase of an extra suitcase in order to bring back my haul.) The lotions, mists, and cleansers are organized by scent (I’m partial to the fresh-smelling Cotton Care line), and the brand’s ateliers in Stockholm and Paris are the inspiration behind the collection of candles. The new Eau de Toilettes are based on some of the most popular scents in the bath collection.
Everything mentioned above launches on the brand’s e-commerce site today (the New York store, in Soho, opens tomorrow), and color cosmetics will roll out in the coming months. (Unless you’re in Europe, in which case, go buy it all now. Don’t pass up the lipstick!)

Helena Carlberg, the brand’s social media manager says, “We keep it really simple in terms of packaging to make sure we put all the effort inside the bottles.” But in reality, even a dozen bottles of the clean white packaging would look more chic than cluttered on your sink. As for Carlberg’s favorite? “Everyone should try the [body] scrubs. Those are really the best,” says Carlberg.
