Paris Jackson Hasn't Celebrated Her Birthday Since Her Dad Michael Died

Stephanie Soteriou

It has sadly been revealed that seventeen-year-old Paris Jackson has refused to celebrate her birthday since her father died seven years ago.

The aspiring singer was left heartbroken by Michael Jackson’s death in June 2009 and did not want to celebrate her annual milestone as she feared that it would be too painful.

However, it has been reported that Paris is preparing to embrace turning eighteen next week by organising her first party since her eleventh birthday.

A source explained to RadarOnline: “Paris has not really celebrated her birthday since her father passed away. She has such fond memories of past birthday celebrations with Michael, so it is really a sensitive time for her.”

Paris’ family are understandably over the moon that she has agreed to a party this year, with her mum, Debbie Rowe, and grandmother, Katherine Jackson, keen to do whatever they can to make sure that she has a special day.

The insider added: “Paris’ family is all coming together to throw her a huge and lavish birthday party for her. As of right now, it will be at the Jackson family estate.

"Paris has no problems with anyone in her family, so they are all expected to be there.”

The teen, who has big brother Prince and younger brother Blanket, has had a difficult few years, being sectioned to a psychiatric hospital back in 2013 following a drugs overdose, but she has thankfully managed to come out the other side.

We hope that Paris has a birthday to remember - she definitely deserves it.
