Now, there’s an Instagram account called @historyofoverplucking available to lighten this feeling of shame and embarrassment. The hilarious account shows how society as a whole was over-plucking brows for decades.

With a bio reading, “everybody makes mistakes” you can scroll through pictures of models, celebs and It-Girls alike rocking pencil-thin brows. From Christina Aguilera to Kate Moss and Drew Barrymore, you’re reminded why you decided to take the tweezers to your brows so harshly back in the day. The trend was everywhere! But it isn’t just women from the '90s rocking this look. Images of Judy Garland, Twiggy and Greta Garbo also fill this account with pre-90s over-plucking nostalgia.
