You Need to See This Transformative Artist Become Meryl Streep, James Bond, and More
The makeup artist who previously went viral for her transformation into Jack Sparrow is at it again, with two new epic celebrity looks. In a new video with Sky Cinema, Italian-based painter Lucia Pittalis miraculously changes herself into Daniel Craig as James Bond, Meryl Streep as Emmeline Pankhurst (from the movie Suffragette), and Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
Although Pittalis’s Instagram feed, where she posts most of the looks, is filled with jaw-dropping artistry, the video captures the magical process that she embarks upon for each transformation. After her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti, in Florence, the artist began working professionally in Rome for theater and film, where she gained an interest in makeup’s ability to transform. Both her studies and her career have allowed her to completely immerse herself into a character, through makeup, hair, and costume. And from the looks of it, her efforts aren’t going unnoticed.
With more than 49,000 followers on Instagram, Pittalis is certainly recognized for her artistry, while shocking people along the way. “I was like ‘Why is Meryl Streep doing her makeup for the camera?’” one commenter wrote in response to the Suffragette look, proving just how convincing Pittalis’s skill truly is.
