“No one’s eyes are completely symmetrical,” says Oquendo. “For more dramatic shapes, use your eye, brow, and ear as a measuring tool.” Having an indicator, like a dot placed where the liner starts (at the high point at the middle of the eye), and where the liner should end (depending on your eye shape will help make your look more foolproof.

If you have a hooded eye, start by creating your wing. “If you do everything else first and then flick it out at the end, when you open you’re eye, you won’t see it,” says Oquendo. Level out your chin, draw the wing, and then connect everything else.
