The Beauty Products Editors Refuse To Travel Without

As someone who likes to tote around six to eight lipsticks at all times, narrowing down my beauty products for a trip is stressful, to say the least. What kind of sadist made those overhead compartments so small? And don’t get us started on TSA guidelines. Then, there are all those products to add to your routine that make travel easier (you’ll need moisturizer for that dehydrating airplane air).

Cel-Derma Clinical 3-Step Vita-Toning Mask
“I was introduced to this by the Glow Recipe girls — it’s a three-step skin-care system in one super-convenient package. Wash your face with the cleanser, apply the brightening essence, and then apply the sheet mask on top. Boom — a full, efficacious skin-care regimen without having to tote around all those lotions and potions.”

& Other Stories Complete Face Palette In Festoon Classics
“Okay, okay, I know — this isn’t even out on counter yet. However, ever since I laid my hot little hands on this all-in-one palette, it has completely changed my travel-makeup game. The cream formulas are amazing, and the colors are dead-on and so versatile. I can use the burgundy as either a full lipstick (applied with a brush) or a sexy stain (pushed into the lips with my finger). The black is perfect as a liner or smudged out as a smoky shadow, while the silver is a beautiful, subtle shimmer on the lids. And I like the Champagne pearl as my luminizer, applying it to the inner corners of my eyes, my cheekbones, my Cupid’s bow, and anywhere else that needs some highlight. Bookmark this, guys — you’re going to want to get your hands on it when it launches this fall.”

& Other Stories Complete Face Palette in Festoon Classics, available in September at & Other Stories.

Christophe Robin Hydratant Santal Moisturizing Hair Cream
“Pretty much one of the most versatile hair stylers I’ve ever used, this works in all climates and is perfect for both a tousled air-dry finish and a smoother blowout. This one’s gotten more mileage than my whole hair-care arsenal, combined.”

Ban Refresh Cooling Body Cloths
“Something about traveling makes me turn particularly ripe. Whether it’s deplaning, or just wandering around in a new city, to help combat those sweaty, stinky moments I have these genius wipes on hand. They remove dampness and odor, but don’t leave behind a sticky feel to your skin — just a fresh, powdery sensation. Much better than the usual hot-mess look I’m prone to while in transit.”

Ban Refresh Cooling Body Cloths, $3.59, available at Walgreens.

Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme
“I don’t know about you guys, but hands-down the thing that always ends up taking up the most room in my beauty luggage is my shampoo and conditioner. That’s why this Cleansing Conditioner from the NYC salon Hairstory is a travel must — it gently cleans and conditions your hair in one go, leaving your locks soft, healthy, and nourished.”

Beautycounter Rosewater Uplifting Spray
“I’m a chronic spritzer — I use face mists to hydrate after cleansing, to refresh midday, and to set my makeup. So I always carry a bottle with me, especially when on a plane. A few spritzes of this and I avoid a total skin meltdown, a.k.a. plane pimples.”

Beautycounter Rosewater Uplifting Spray, $32, available at Beautycounter.

SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense
“This is my new favorite SPF. It truly dries matte and won’t aggravate acne-prone skin, and I love that it’s an SPF 50 so my sun-sensitive skin is truly protected. It’s also slightly tinted, so on a good skin day it can double as my base makeup and on a bad skin day it’s also a primo primer that helps my foundation go on oh-so-smooth.”

SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50, $34, available at SkinStore.
