The Long Awaited Miu Miu Fragrance is Here

When this pretty blue bottle arrived at my desk, my first thought was, “Wait, this is Miu Miu’s first fragrance?” I had assumed that Prada’s little sister had always had a spot in the perfume aisle, but this September marks its official debut.
The feminine and youthful spirit of the Italian fashion brand, designed by Miuccia Prada, is not only perfectly captured in the graphic glass bottle, but also in the scent itself. Created by perfumer Daniela Andrier, the fragrance ($86) is floral without being too sweet. Lily of the valley, jasmine, and rose absolute are combined with Akigala wood (an extract of patchouli that has a warm, peppery vibe) for a totally modern yet elegant scent.
The campaign was shot by the legendary Steven Meisel, and stars actress Stacy Martin and a sweet little kitten (an ode to the spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection, perhaps?) battling over that pretty perfume bottle. If you’re looking for a fresh take on a fall fragrance, this is it.
