On-the-Go Makeup, No Mirror Required
I usually do my makeup in the car because I’m always in a rush – multitasking on my way to work or to an event. If you’re caught on your way to a holiday party with no mirror in sight, don’t panic. Just follow these quick and easy steps to a flawless, mistake-proof look.
? If you have moisturizer on hand, apply it to plump up skin and create an even canvas for makeup.
? Use cream formulas for eyes, cheeks, and skin. They’re sheerer than powder formulas, and you can apply and blend them with your fingers.
? Pour a few drops of liquid foundation on the back of your hand so know exactly how much you’re using. Then, apply using your fingers. Blend slightly below the jaw line for the most natural, even look.
? Smile and apply blush on the apples of the cheeks. Use sparingly at first; you can always add more later.
? A simple, natural look works best if you’re going mirror-free. Use neutral colors on eyes, such as taupe, grey or beige. They provide just enough color to enhance features but can easily be blended.
? A couple of coats of black mascara works, push up lashes to curl and also take off any excess.
? Stick with lip gloss for an instantly polished look. It’s more forgiving than lipstick.
? Of course since you did go without a mirror for application, just to be on the safe side you can check with a friend or glance in a mirror on the way in. You will look great.
