Designer Tom Ford showed his fall 2015 collection in Los Angeles on Friday night, moving away from his normal London Fashion Week slot. Backstage, makeup artist Mary Greenwell and hairstylist Sam McKnight lead the glam teams in creating a “shaggable” look.

The hair was inspired by a voluminous Tippi Hendren-style updo and a 1970s style Ali MacGraw side braid. While McKnight described the look as sexy, it maintained a little bit of DIY feel, as if the girls had done their own hair.

For makeup, Greenwell went for a lived-in gorgeous face. The brows were deliberately messed up, adding the relaxed, sexy vibe. The focus of the look was on the eyes, with Tom Ford’s Deep Mink Lip Color ($50) used as a pigment on the lids. “This is the kind of product you can use anywhere, on cheeks, eyes, and on lips,” said Greenwell.

Model Karlie Kloss, who walked the show, was such a huge fan of the look that she planned on keeping the makeup on and going out right after the show.
