“I wanted Reese to look like she just came off a vacation,” said makeup artist Molly Stern. “I wanted her to have a radiant glow, like award show season had been a vacation for her. My goal was to make her look effortless, strong and sophisticated.” To get a relaxed, sexy look Stern focused on neutral but defined makeup. To match the elegant black and white Tom Ford gown, Stern kept the makeup soft, “Ford is the master of simple and elegant. I wanted her makeup to feel that way as well. I didn’t want there to be too much of anything that would take your eye away from the look as a whole.” To get the look, Stern applied Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation in Suntan ($47), a shade darker than usual to give the actress’ skin a “warmed up sun-smooched feeling.” Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Highlighter & Shader Duet in Intensity One ($77) darkened the hollows of her cheeks. Then, she applied Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Lovely ($56), on the apples of her cheeks to create a soft, subtle flush. A smoky nude eye looks gorgeous finished off with Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Peche ($27), which added a “hint of light brightness.”
