Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas Took Their Kids to ‘Oldchella’ — and They Didn’t Look Miserable

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have done at least one thing right when it comes to raising their kids — Dylan, 16, and Carys, 13 — they’ve introduced them to good music.

The family hit the Desert Trip festival together over the weekend, where the musical acts — Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan — were slightly outside the kids’ demographic. But judging from the photos their parents shared on Instagram, the teens didn’t seem to mind that they weren’t seeing Justin Bieber or Ariana Grande.

The Legend of Zorro actress, 47, shared a series of pics from their adventure out west. The kids were rocking Stones T-shirts featuring the legendary logo of lead singer Mick Jagger’s mouth. (They also saw Bob Dylan.)

Meanwhile, the Behind the Candelabra actor, 72, shared a few snaps as well. The group shot, above, of them attending “the greatest rock festival,” as well as Jagger being all Jagger-y.

It’s always nice to see the family together, especial after Michael and Catherine’s hiccup in their marriage back in 2013. This trip was an “especially meaningful” one for the quartet because they got to tour the former Palm Springs abode of Michael’s father, Kirk Douglas. The 1954 Old Las Palmas house sold for $3.5 million in the spring, and the new owners, Michael Budman and Diane Bald of Toronto, are friends of Michael and Catherine and invited them to take a look. (The acting legend owned it from 1966 to 1999.)

Michael noted that the house that once belonged to Kirk, who turns 100 in December, was redecorated “complete with a Kirk Douglas media room.”

Sounds like the entire weekend was one rich in history lessons for the teens.
