Heather Locklear Returns to Rehab to Tie Up ‘Loose Ends Regarding Certain Issues’
When Heather Locklear starred in Melrose Place, there was nothing that blond bad girl couldn’t handle. However, in real life, she continues to battle personal demons.
The TV star, 55, has returned to rehab, she confirmed in a statement to Yahoo Celebrity on Tuesday. “I am feeling great and am taking steps to enrich and better my life,” she said. “Currently I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead.”
Locklear, who first shot to fame in ’80s faves T.J. Hooker and Dynasty, has long battled addiction issues. The last time she made headlines like this was in January 2012, when she was hospitalized after a 911 call was placed by her sister from Locklear’s home after she reportedly ingested a mixture of drugs and alcohol.
Two years prior to that, Locklear spent 30 days in an in-patient program after she was involved in a misdemeanor hit and run in Westlake Village, Calif. In 2008, she was arrested in Santa Barbara for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription medications, and sought treatment in an Arizona rehab facility.
Locklear is mom to 19-year-old Ava Sambora with ex-husband Richie Sambora (the former Bon Jovi member has also famously battled addiction). The actress, who was last linked to plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Mani (she was also famously married to Tommy Lee), will next be starring in TLC’s first scripted series, Too Close to Home. She recently shared photos from the set.

She also often posts photos of her adorable dog, Mister Locklear, on Instagram. She posted the most recent one a week ago, showing him in front of a Christmas tree.

Here’s hoping she gets home to that little cutie soon — and that she’s in a healthier and happier place.
