Heidi Klum Is Hard at Work on Her Halloween Costume (Yes, It’s September)
Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween — and, as such, preparations start early. Like on Sept. 8.
The America’s Got Talent judge, 43, offered the first look at her costume in a series of videos posted to Instagram on Thursday. We have to say that the mom of four is a good sport because things got a little messy during “step one.”
“Here we go again ….with Halloween just around the corner,” Klum captioned the first video, which showed the supermodel having a cap put on her head by Prosthetic Renaissance owner Mike Marino, whom she has worked with in past years.

That was followed by the actual prosthetic application. First she was covered in green goo (a silicone or liquid latex), then pink goo, then white pieces over it. “WooooooW,” she captioned it — and we agree. It’s a lot to sit through without, say, having a panic attack and trying to claw it all off.

The last video, which she captioned, “Step one …DONE,” showed the process of having the masks peeled off. Finally, she could see again — and she was all cute about it, sticking her tongue out.

An easy guess would be that Klum’s going to be an alien this year, but she’s done that before. (In 2010, she dressed as a two-toned alien with purple-and-red plastic armor.) This will be her 17th year hosting a Halloween party, so generic costumes are out. Last year, she was Jessica Rabbit, the Who Framed Roger Rabbit bombshell, with prosthetic lips, breasts, and buns, as well as flaming red hair.
Klum’s annual soiree attracts loads of celebs, including Jennifer Lopez in 2015. This year we’ll be watching to see if her younger, art-dealer boyfriend, Vito Schnabel, will be in attendance. He skipped the event in 2015 (to prepare for the NYC Marathon). We’re sure, however, that he had his own private viewing of Klum in costume.
For the record, Klum last year provided the first sneak peek of her costume in early October. So she’s starting much earlier in 2016. Now our expectations are even higher.
