It’s All Right, All Right, All Right to Play the Bongo Drums Naked, Matthew McConaughey

In the January issue of Playboy, Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey opens up about his arrest for playing the bongo drums naked.

In 1999, McConaughey was arrested at his home in Austin, Texas, for marijuana possession and resisting transportation. Officers responded to a noise complaint by a neighbor and stumbled upon the actor playing the drums in the nude inside his home. The charges were dropped, but McConaughey ended up paying a $50 fine for disturbing the peace.

Reflecting on the incident, McConaughey said, “What’s wrong with beating on your drums in your birthday suit?”

McConaughey spent nine hours in Travis County Jail before being released on $1,000 bond. Who did he call when he was behind bars? Check out the video above to find out.
