Lindsay Lohan Reflects on Her Troubled Past: ‘I Can’t Turn Back Time’
Lindsay Lohan turns 30 years old on July 2, and she’s taking a look back at her troubled past in a new interview with Vanity Fair.
“I can’t turn back time,” she said when asked if she has any regrets. “But if I could, I would have listened more to my mother and gone back home to NYC earlier in life and chosen my friends more wisely.”
The Disney alum moved from Los Angeles back to New York City in 2013 to film her own docuseries called Lindsay, which chronicled her effort to get her career back on track after years of court battles and rehab stints. Now Lindsay says that if she could give her younger self some advice, it would be to pick better friends.
“Pay attention to the people you surround yourself with, and make sure they have honest intentions,” she told the magazine.
The actress, who got engaged to 23-year-old Russian business heir Egor Tarabasov in April, added that she’s sober and writing a book. “I am in the process of writing a book, and I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles,” she said. “I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place.”
Lindsay also told Vanity Fair that she hopes to start her own family one day soon. Check out the video to hear what she had to say, and tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
