Nicole Richie's Wisdom for Millennials: You'll Regret the Dumb Stuff You Do When You're 19

Robert KesslerEditor

Wednesday on Into the Gloss, Nicole Richie published a full compendium of her beauty regimen. It’s an exhaustive list of lotions and cremes perfect for anyone who wants to look better at age 33 than they did at 22, as Richie does. But buried deep at the bottom, there is some invaluable advice for any and all millennials reading.

“I have a few tattoos, but I haven’t gotten a new one since I was 21. I was a 19-year-old idiot when I got this tattoo on the back of my neck,” she said. “You can see it now with the short hair but people aren’t asking about it, which is nice.”

Why, yes, you just might regret some of the decisions you make as a “19-year-old idiot.”

Richie’s neck tattoo is not the only ink she regrets, in fact. She also has a tramp stamp which she described as a “butt crack cross” on the first episode of her show Candidly Nicole.

“It just means a certain thing, and I don’t want to be part of that group,” she said on a 2013 episode of her show dedicated to tattoo removal.

Then again, if you don’t regret the tattoos you’ve got, Nicole recommends the Body Shop’s Brazil Nut Body Butter and the Creme de Corps from Kiehl’s if you want to keep them nice and moisturized.
