Pink Tweets Support for Corey Feldman: 'I Know How Much It Takes to Get Up There and Do Your Thing'

At least he went for it, right?

Corey Feldman has been down in the dumps ever since his performance of "Go 4 It" on the Today show elicited a massive, confused "WTF?" from the internet on Friday.

He's received support and encouragement from several celebrities, including his former Stand By Me co-star Jerry Oa??Connell, who tweeted "Proud of you @Corey_Feldman" with a link to the performance.

Now Pink is adding her voice to the chorus of well-wishers. The 37-year-old pop star tweeted a tender message to Feldman Sunday night, writing, "Well I love ya @Corey_Feldman and I know how much it takes to get up there and do your thing. Keep your head up and know that you're loved."

Today host Billy Bush also came to Feldman's defense after reading Pink's tweet on air. "I'd like to echo that. You don't have to pile on somebody," he said.

Fellow host Tamron Hall added: "You don’t have to be so nasty. You can say 'What was that?' or 'That's not my cup of tea.' But to bully him, he's out there performing. If you don't like it you don't like it, but the level of aggression…"

Feldman, 45, took to social media after the performance went viral, tearfully admitting how hurtful the negative response had been.

"We just wanted to tell everybody that it's been really painful," he said in a Facebook Live video that has since been deleted. "We put ourselves out there, and we did the best that we could. And, I've never had such mean things said about me. Like constantly."

Feldman said he didn't think his song deserved such a backlash.

"It was a song, okay? It wasn't that weird," he continued. "I'm sorry if it's not good enough for you, but you don't have to beat us up. I just want to say that, like, why is it okay to, like, publicly shame us? ... I don't understand ... It's, like, not PC to, like, say somebody is fat or somebody is white or somebody is black or somebody is yellow or green or if they have a short leg or if they have a missing finger. Like we can't talk about these things. But it's okay to bash Corey Feldman and the Angels [his band]."

For now, Feldman said he fears venturing out in public.

"We can't get out of bed right now," he said. "We're petrified to even go out ... And I'm sorry, but we just wanted the world to know, like, we're really freaked out over this and it's really not fair."

The song "Go 4 It" is taken from his upcoming fifth album, Angelic 2 the Core, which he describes as a "good versus evil, heaven versus hell"-themed record.
