With many more films planned both in and out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they present the chance to introduce many other characters to the web-slinger's circle of friends and villains. Since the Spidey excitement doesn't seem to be slowing down, let's look at 12 Spider-Man Characters That Sony Should Introduce Next.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

12.Hobgoblin

Fans have predicted that Spider-Man's buddy, Ned Leeds, will become the dreaded Hobgoblin, and the ending to No Way Home has made this much more likely. Now that he has no memory of Peter or their adventures together, he might not have any moral qualms about becoming the villain and battling Spider-Man. Perhaps Ned's suppressed memories of the Green Goblin could inspire him to make his own glider and armor. He's even a naturally born sorcerer now, so whether or not Ned reunites with him as a hero or villain, Hobgoblin could become one of the most powerful and unique characters Spidey has ever known.

11.Scorpion

For those of you who don't remember, Mac Gargan was introduced in Homecoming as one of the criminals Peter put in jail. The mid-credits showed him bearing a vicious grudge against him, and it's time we see him go face to face with him as the supervillain Scorpion.

With J. Jonah Jameson now out to get Spider-Man, we could see the former hire Scorpion to hunt him down like in Gargan's first comic book appearance. Perhaps he will even bond with the piece of the Venom symbiote left behind at the end of No Way Home, just like in the comics, making his character very similar to the vengeful villain Eddie Brock was decades ago.

10.Kraven the Hunter

As one of Spider-Man's greatest adversaries, a film about Kraven the Hunter has been long overdue. Though there were initially plans to have him be the villain of No Way Home, Kraven will now star in his own film that's set to release next year. But considering the complex nature of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, it's unclear how or even if the villain will go toe to toe with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. We'll just have to wait and see what the film has to show us.

9.Mister Negative

Like Green Goblin, the kind and philanthropic businessman Martin Li secretly has a dark personality created by his superpowers known as Mister Negative. Following his appearance in the vastly successful Marvel's Spider-Man, this supervillain has become a household name, so now's the chance for Marvel and Sony to capitalize on his popularity.

There have been rumors that Steven Yeun will play Mister Negative in the sequel to No Way Home. However, the filmmakers should be careful with portraying Martin if they depict him with dissociative identity disorder (DID) like in the comics. Marvel seems to be setting a better standard for presenting this condition with Moon Knight, and it needs to be followed in future projects.

8.Yuri Watanabe

This NYPD captain could end up being Spider-Man's version of Commissioner Gordon. Though she starts off as his ally, Watanabe becomes disillusioned by America's flawed justice system and becomes the vigilante Wraith. This would make for a fascinating and thought-provoking figure for the web-slinger to face. And since Yuri was a big enemy of Mister Negative in the comics, we could see her fight as Spidey's ally in the war against him.

7.Kingpin

Though we've already seen Kingpin become a part of the MCU in Hawkeye, we should next see him meet our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Though Wilson Fisk was last seen at the wrong end of a gun, don't rule out the chance of him living to do another project. We could see Spider-Man become a thorn in Fisk's side between his third and fourth movies, setting up Peter's exciting and dangerous new life fighting crime all on his own.

6.Spider-Woman

Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman, has yet to receive the big-screen treatment she deserves. Though her origins have experienced confusing changes over the years, the main story is that she was given her superpowers before she was born and was recruited into HYDRA, fighting for the group until she discovered its true nature. Her character has recently grown more popular, and she has become a prominent member of the Avengers, making her an ideal new addition to the MCU or Sony's Spider-Verse.

5.Silk

This character was already seen in Homecoming as Peter's classmate Cindy Moon. In the comics, she was bitten by the same spider that gave Peter his superpowers, but she had spent much of her life locked away in a secret facility before becoming a costumed vigilante. Sony is currently working on a TV series about Silk for Amazon Prime, but it's unknown when it will release or if the protagonist will be the same character from the MCU.

4.Black Cat

Now that Peter and MJ have officially separated, now is the perfect time for him to meet the Black Cat. Born Felicia Hardy, this cat burglar became Spider-Man's partner/girlfriend, and she has repeatedly fought alongside him over the years, making her increasingly popular with fans. Though she may seem like a copycat of Catwoman, Hardy is still a fascinating and complex character all her own, and she could provide much-needed support to Spider-Man in his new, lonely life.

3.Silver Sable

Leader of the Wild Pack and Sable International, Silvija Sablinova is a highly skilled mercenary from the fictional country of Symkaria who has frequently fought with and against Spider-Man. There were plans to have Sable team up with Black Cat in their own film, but those plans eventually fell apart, and it's unknown whether or not she will debut onscreen anytime soon. Perhaps Sable could be hired to hunt and capture the Spider-Man since many now see him as a murderer, and the battle against her and her forces would make for a tense and action-packed adventure.

2.Uncle Ben

After three solo movies about Spider-Man, we still haven't gotten to meet the MCU's version of Uncle Ben. While we don't need to see Ben get shot dead for the gazillionth time, we should at least get a glimpse of him and the moral impact he had on Peter's life. After all, he was the reason his nephew decided to become a crimefighter.

1.Miles Morales

This iconic character has already been confirmed to exist in the MCU, and it's high time we see him become the next Spider-Man in this live-action world. Tom Holland has been open about his interest in making a film about Miles Morales, and given the character's popularity thanks to Into the Spider-Verse and his successful spinoff to Marvel's Spider-Man, it would be a shock if the studio didn't make a film for him.
