'America's Got Talent': 12-year-old singing ventriloquist returns with amazing Jackson 5 cover
After her amazing performance on the season premiere of America’s Got Talent, 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer made her triumphant return Tuesday night. This time around, Farmer was accompanied by her puppet Oscar, and she belted out an amazing performance of “Who’s Loving You?” by The Jackson 5.
Before belting out the tune, Farmer had a little fun with Oscar and Mel B. During a short back-and-forth between Oscar and Farmer, Oscar admitted he’d fallen for Mel B and would sing the song especially for her. Maybe that had something to do with Mel B giving Farmer the coveted golden buzzer on her first appearance.
No matter the reason, Farmer decided to make Mel B the focus of her performance and showed her range as both a comedic performer and a singer. First, when talking about the possibility that Oscar, a mouse, could ever be with Mel B, she made the comparison to Heidi Klum being married to a seal, an obvious reference to Klum’s ex-husband, Seal. Then Farmer belted out an impressive vocal performance — all with her mouth barely open and not moving.
