Friends fall out. That’s life.
In some unfortunate cases, it could result in lifetime grudges.
Unfortunately for celebrities, fallouts often bleed into the public eye, forcing their mutual friends to pick sides, as well as their respective fanbases.
So the chances that these two might eventually make amends seem slim right now. Fortunately, there are many celebrities who’ve put their feuds behind them.
These 19 celebrities below have rattled the internet with their feuds but shocked the world even more once they decided to squash their beef.
1. Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods were attached to the hip until rumors that Woods slept with Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloe Kardashian’s kids.
Though Woods later admitted on Red Table Talk that she and Thompson shared a kiss, she denied that things ever got explicit between them. Nonetheless, after the 2019 incident, Kylie and Jordyn seemingly distanced themselves from each other. “Jordyn and I did have a talk after that,” Jenner said during the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion, per E! . “When we were friends, we never thought that we wouldn’t be friends. It was kind of an overnight thing, and, you know, when she did something to my family, it felt like she did something to me.”
Fast forward to 2023, the two were spotted grabbing a bite together, leading many to speculate that they’ve put an end to their feud. In May 2024, Kylie spoke out about where they stand now in an episode of The Kardashians . “I saw Jordyn again in Paris… It was fun,” Kylie told Khloé. “I think we have a lot more healthy distance in the relationship. Now it’s like, we talk once a month.”

Unfortunately, they’ve also had a handful of public spats, only to rekindle their friendship later. The most recent case arrived in the midst of the Kanye West vs. Pete Davidson debacle where the College Dropout artist basically called out his protegé over his friendship with the comedian. In an interview , Cudi said it would take “a motherf**king miracle” for them to put their differences aside. However, the two later put their differences aside and were spotted hugging it out in Las Vegas at the beginning of 2024 and later, Cudi joined Ye and Ty Dolla $ign at a Vultures 1 release party.
“The reason why we became cool again is because he apologized to me and it was sincere. I was just like, wow," Cudi told Zane Lowe around the time Insano dropped. "Kanye does not apologize to anybody and say sorry to anyone. And that's my brother, man. And there's just nothing like Kanye and Cudi. We like the duo that everybody loves to see.”
Johnny Nunez / WireImage 3. Taylor Swift & Katy Perry spent nearly a decade trading subliminal shots at each other.
Though Katy Perry and Taylor Swift initially had a rather cordial relationship, things began bubbling under the surface. However, by the time Taylor dropped “Bad Blood,” fans began to wonder who exactly she was talking about, and the trail seemingly led to Katy Perry. Swift would allude to their feud in interviews without name-dropping the singer, though in one particular interview with Rolling Stone, she suggested that an unnamed celebrity actually attempted to sabotage her tour.
In the years that followed, the two traded light jabs at each other in music, interviews, and online, but what truly exposed their feud was Swift’s fallout with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who accused her team of trying to create a negative narrative about him. “I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy etc., but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it," he tweeted.
In May 2017, Perry released “Swish Swish” ft. Nicki Minaj, who herself had words for Swift in the past, which many perceived to be a diss track. While it earned a response from Ruby Rose of Orange Is The New Black Fame , Perry finally confirmed the rift between her and Taylor. “Honestly, it's really like she started it, and it's time for her to finish it,” Perry told James Corden in a May 2017 interview, per Entertainment Weekly . At the center of their feud were backup dancers who Perry typically contracted to join her on tour. Perry gave them her blessing to join Taylor on tour, though she asked them to include a “30-day contingency” in their contract so they could join the “Dark Horse” singer when she returns to the stage. “So that year came up, right? And I texted all of them because I'm very close with them, and I said, 'Look, just FYI, I'm about to start. I want to put the word out there.' They said, 'Okay, well, we're gonna go and talk to management about it.' And they did, and they got fired."
While the feud continued for several years after, they eventually made peace with one another. In 2018, as Taylor prepared to kick off the Reputation Tour in Phoenix, AZ, she received a literal olive branch in her dressing room from Katy. “Hey old friend, I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the hurt feelings between us,” a portion of the letter read. “Deeply sorry” also appeared several lines down. Taylor shared a photo to her Instagram Story with a simple caption reading, “Thank you Katy.”
Jeff Kravitz / FilmMagic 4. In the early stages of their career, Meek Mill and Drake formed a tight bond that extended the Young Money & MMG alliance.
5. Josh Peck & Drake Bell hold a special place in the hearts of millennials, thanks to Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh , but it appeared that their bond faded after the show ended in 2007.
A decade later, Drake Bell called out his former castmate in a now-infamous tweet because he didn’t receive an invite to Josh Peck’s wedding in June 2017. “When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear…,” he tweeted. “True colors have come out today,” he continued in a separate tweet. “Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I’ll miss you brotha.”
In a 2022 interview with the BFFs podcast , Josh Peck addressed Drake’s online commentary, along with the “press run” that followed. Apparently, the two didn’t really keep in much contact after the show ended, so Josh didn’t necessarily feel compelled to invite his former colleague (I mean, who would?). “I knew that Drake and I didn’t stay in touch for the 10 years since we had made the show, but no one needed to know that,” he said. “Like, I was happy to just die with that secret that we made this thing that people really loved, but maybe we weren’t that close.”
A few months after the wedding, the two reunited at the VMAs where Josh supposedly demanded Drake apologize to his wife, though accounts of what really went down are sort of muddy. Nonetheless, they took a flick and hugged each other to the joy of many Drake & Josh fans. Josh Peck later revealed that on the same episode of the BFF Podcast, they hadn’t spoken much since.
Though they might not be BFFs anymore, Josh issued a statement of support for Drake Bell following the release of Quiet On Set , the explosive documentary detailing the toxic and abusive environment at Nickelodeon. Prior to that, Bell told their fans that Josh reached out to him and offered support. “Processing this and going through this is a really emotional time and a lot of it is very, very difficult," Bell said in his video. "So not everything is put out to the public. ... But he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this and it's been really, really great.”
Amanda Edwards / WireImage 6. Kim Kardashian and Adrienne Bailon weren’t necessarily besties but the latter’s relationship with Robert Kardashian certainly meant that she was often around the Kardashian-Jenner.
In fact, Adrienne even appeared on eight episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians . However, Rob fessed up to cheating on her, and she was understandably upset about having their relationship play out on such a public stage. In an interview with Latina in 2014, per E! , she admitted that it had a negative impact on her life. “To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career," she told the outlet. However, she didn’t necessarily clarify how it impacted her. “I probably realized that too late—not that it would've affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would've affected my decision to appear on the show."
She added, “To this day, people will still say, 'You ruined Rob's life!' And I'll think, 'Damn, I was still playing with Barbie dolls when I met him.'
Ultimately, it led to the wrath of the Kardashian clan, with both Kim and Khloe responding on social media. “Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian,” Kim tweeted.
It seems to be water under the bridge as Adrienne Bailon revealed on the Harder Than We Thought podcast that Kim helped her when she decided to go through surrogacy. “Like just there for me, and she introduced me to Andy Vorzimer, who is the most incredible surrogate lawyer, which is a very big part of surrogacy. You don't think about it, but there's a very big legal side to this journey,” she said.
Theo Wargo / WireImage 7. Sir Elton John and Madonna are icons in their own right but they’ve had their fair share of tension in the past.
8. While Brandy and Monica collaborated together on “The Boy Is Mine,” their relationship reportedly soured shortly after the song was released.
There were rumored disagreements about who the song belonged to, which Brandy affirmed during a 2012 performance at Essence Festival. The two would chalk up their feud to the media but Monica confirmed in a 2012 interview with Angie Martinez that a rumored physical altercation between the two occurred during rehearsals of the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. The two collaborated again in 2012 on “It All Belongs To Me.” Still, many believed there was still tension between the two parties until they officially squashed their feud on Verzuz in 2020.
“I wanted to speak to you face to face," Monica said during the face-off, per Entertainment Weekly . "The more we’re talked about, the more it came to be difficult, unnecessarily. And I really really am a straight shooter and I really do admire what you’ve done musically and what you’ve had to endure personally.” Brandy added, “I have the utmost love and respect for you as well, for somebody to start at 12 years old.... The longevity of your career, nobody [knows] what you’ve been through.”
Jeff Kravitz / FilmMagic 9. Snoop Dogg and Eminem are both disciples of Dr. Dre, but things went south when the West Coast MC, during an interview on The Breakfast Club , left the Detroit native off of his list of the top 10 rappers of all time.
Many considered this an insult, considering Eminem’s impact on hip-hop. Though Snoop attempted to clear the air afterward, many, including Em, felt slighted by his remarks. That’s when things escalated a bit further with the release of Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By: Side B song, “Zeus,” where he directly addresses Snoop while also divulging the hurt he felt.
“And, as far as squashing beef, I’m used to people knocking me /But, just not in my camp /And diplomatic as I’m tryna be /Last thing I need is Snoop dogging me / Man, Dogg, you was like a damn God to me /Nah, not really /I had ‘dog’ backward/ But I’m starting to think, all these people takin’ shots at me/Shit, it’s no wonder,” Em raps on the song.
While the tension festered for a bit longer, the two rekindled their friendship after Dr. Dre reportedly suffered an aneurysm. During an interview with Sirius XM in 2022, Em explained how they talked it out and claimed it was ultimately a misunderstanding. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for the two to officially squash their beef and join forces on “From the D 2 the LBC. Em and Snoop later performed the single at the VMAs and also, linked up for Dre’s outstanding Super Bowl performance in 2022 .

By the mid-aughts, it seemed as though their relationship was strained. Rumors began to surface that the two weren’t necessarily close to one another and in 2005, Paris issued a statement revealing that she wanted a new co-host for her show, specifically Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberly Stewart.
“Kim is hysterical and crazy fun, and I love that about her,” she said, per People . “Nicole and I have been best friends since we were babies, and I love her, but I want to do what’s best for the show.”
The following year, Paris confirmed that there had been friction between her and Nicole, which some rumors claimed to stem from jealousy. “It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends,” Hilton said, People reports. “Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it.” Meanwhile, Nicole Richie said that she primarily split from Paris because she began spending more time with her then-fiancé DJ Adam Goldstein.
By 2006, it appeared that the two of them made amends and they continued with the final season of The Simple Life , which ended in 2007. These days, they remain incredibly tight and even announced that they’d be reuniting on-screen for a new Peacock series.
Jon Kopaloff / FilmMagic 11. Harlem’s own Cam’ron and Ma$e were childhood friends who played basketball together and entered the music industry side-by-side.
Their storied history, from high school basketball to rapping as members of Children Of The Corn, has been documented throughout history. Mase was, in fact, instrumental in Cam’s career, introducing him to Biggie which led to a deal with Untertainment after Children Of The Corn disbanded. However, things got murky afterward when Mase allegedly tried to charge his childhood friend $40,000 to appear in the music video for their collab “Horse & Carriage.” Cam’ron eventually found a body double to replace Mase.
Once Mase decided to leave the music industry to embark on a career as a pastor, Cam’ron began looking at him sideways, resulting in the infamous Hot 97 argument. In the following years, they would continue throwing jabs at each other while Cam’ron theorized on Mase’s decision to become a pastor. In 2017, the two traded shots at each other over several diss tracks, beginning with Cam’ron’s “It’s Killa.” However, “The Oracle” by Mase was kind of the nail in the coffin, especially since it went on to address the tension between each other.
Fortunately, the two have patched things up, thanks to Gillie and Wallo of Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, and currently serve as co-hosts on the online sports talk show, It Is What It Is . Speaking to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on the All The Smoke podcast, Cam’ron confirmed that his beef with Mase stemmed from the rapper’s decision to leave the music industry.
“He went to church. I kinda didn’t understand it at the time because that’s my man all day, and I’m like, where church come from?” he started. “So I started bugging out on him because of that. So, to be honest with you, the whole sh*t was my fault, and just not understanding the kind of path he was on at the time.”
Johnny Nunez / WireImage 12. 2013 Twitter was a wild time, and nothing better captures its unhinged nature than Rihanna and Teyana Taylor’s rift.
According to E! , the two had been acquaintances but things ultimately kicked off when Rihanna decided to mock Teyana’s cover of Anita Baker’s “Caught in the Rapture.” Rih shared a video of her male stylist wearing a wig that seemingly emulated Taylor’s iconic look while singing along to the same portion of the song mockingly.
“petty is petty and shade is shade, bitch knew what the f--k she was doing,” Teyana tweeted in response. In a follow-up tweet, she called out Rihanna’s alleged promiscuous reputation in the music industry. “90 million dollars & 90 million n***as diving in that bitch box,” Taylor wrote. While Rihanna was initially quiet, she fired back, “I REFUSE to help your career…you will NOT get an @ from me! Not til you pay me! #nomorefreepormo #iRefuse." Then, she added , “I hate broke bitches."
Around this time, Teyana Taylor also used a photo of Rihanna following Chris Brown’s assault as a background picture on Twitter, prompting demands to have her dropped from Adidas. The sportswear brand heard the calls and confirmed to Madame Noire that they wouldn’t work with Taylor moving forward. “We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her,” a senior PR for the brand said.
But by 2016, it appeared that the two had made up for good. Teyana Taylor shared a photo of Fenty x Puma items she received from Rihanna on Instagram with the caption reading , “Thanks for the dope ass gift Ri, I love them!! Gimme kiss! ?? ?? #FentyxPuma.”
Johnny Nunez / WireImage 13. When Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” was snubbed at the VMAs, Taylor Swift felt like she caught a stray.
In a series of tweets, Nicki Minaj called out the unfair double standards in the Best Music Video category at the VMAs, which included a nomination for Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video.
“When the 'other' girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.,” she wrote . “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” she added in a separate tweet .
In an incredibly tone-deaf response, Taylor replied, “??@NICKIMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.” Needless to say, this warranted its fair share of backlash, and Nicki didn’t take much time to respond. “Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn’t say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13,” she added in a separate tweet, per Billboard.
Taylor later invited Nicki Minaj on stage if she won the award, but ultimately, that wasn’t the issue at hand. As the internet continued to criticize Taylor’s response and spelled out why her response wasn’t adequate, she eventually owned up to her misdoing. “I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ,” she wrote. Nicki accepted the apology and, as recently as 2023, entertained the idea of collaborating with the Eras singer.
