A while ago, the BuzzFeed Community shared tons of comments about which "hated" TV shows they actually love. On another post, they shared which "loved" shows they hate. Here are some of the most surprising responses: 1. Hated: The Office "The American version of The Office is horrible. The original British version is great. It was only on for 12 episodes and one Christmas special. Ricky Gervais knows not to overstay his welcome."
—c49eb97c8b
NBC 2. Loved: Riverdale "Riverdale is super cringey with it's musical episodes, but yet, I still love it. No guilt over here."
—zandisilekhetwayo14
"It’s utter trash, but still somehow enjoyable trash. The storylines are wild and cringey, especially Archie and Veronica’s arcs; Anytime they even come on screen, I’m dying inside, yet I still watch each and every episode."
—frand4e18730ec
CW Network / Courtesy Everett Collection 3. Hated: Friends "I watched Friends for a little while, but ultimately I gave up. It was mildly amusing only. And Ross is an a**."
—nilmandir
Warner Bros. / Courtesy Everett Collection 4. Loved: Pretty Little Liars "PLL got so ridiculous toward the end, but I simply could not stop watching it. I think in the back of my mind, I was hoping they’d somehow tie it all up brilliantly. Obviously, that didn’t happen."
—fleurdelis123
ABC Family / Courtesy Everett Collection 5. Hated: Gilmore Girls "I tried really hard to get into Gilmore Girls , but it was major cringe."
—juliannec
"I watched an episode of Gilmore Girls , and it was so corny, unfunny, and generally terrible."
—gloriag2
Scott Humbert / The CW / Courtesy Everett Collection 6. Loved: The Society "There were moments that made me want to cry and scream out of frustration, and there were scenes where I wanted to be the one dying because it was just so cringey. Some of the acting was terrible, but some of it (the main girl) was worthy of an award. But at the end of the day, it was a raunchy, raucous teen TV show that had trashy storylines and trashier teenage personalities, and I LOVED IT."
—caraw47fa36871
Seacia Pavao / Netflix / Courtesy Everett Collection 7. Hated: Breaking Bad "Breaking Bad unfolds so slowly, I could barely keep going. I mainly hung on to see the locations they used in 'ABQ.'"
—artf423c67d40
AMC / Courtesy Everett Collection 8. Loved: Galavant "Galavant is the BEST show. I've never seen a group of actors love and stand behind the sheer stupidity and fourth-wall breaking of a show as much as the cast of Galavant . They all loved the show, and it shows very clearly in their acting, and I am so beyond devastated it didn't get renewed past two seasons. Please watch that show."
—frecklefreak14
ABC / Courtesy Everett Collection 9. Hated: The Good Place "I tried to watch The Good Place . I think my friend made me sit through, like, six episodes. But I just...didn't find it funny. Anything about it. Even Kristen Bell's character just always fell flat to me."
—joep45cede9de
NBC / Courtesy Everett Collection 10. Loved: Ghost Whisperer "It's so outrageous and cringeworthy, and yet, if it's on, I must watch it.
—l49e3a2636
CBS / Courtesy Everett Collection 11. Hated: Grey’s Anatomy "With Grey’s Anatomy, there are some episodes in the newer seasons that are moving and powerful, but the unrealistic character arcs, constant drama involving the cast/crew, and the fact that all the fan-favorite characters have left dumb down the reputation of the show to soap opera status."
—faithb49f43e47c
Christopher Willard / ABC via Getty Images 12. Loved: Supernatural "Okay. Supernatural jumped the shark a couple times, but I will still end the bloodline of anyone who has anything negative to say about my boys."
—jackirose
Colin Bentley / The CW / Courtesy Everett Collection 13. Hated: Seinfeld "Seinfeld was good for about two seasons, but after, it was simply tiresome and not funny. When people carried on about how Jerry Seinfeld was the funniest man alive, I wanted to punch someone. The guy had a thing for a couple of years and milked it for all it was worth."
—dannyh42f90bcf3
Castle Rock Entertainment / Courtesy Everett Collection 14. Loved: H2O: Just Add Water "My daughter got me into it because we both like mermaids, but I’ll admit I used to sometimes rewatch it on my own."
—heatherbeshe
Network Ten 15. Also loved: Mako Mermaids "Mako Mermaids ...a literal spin-off from H2O (exactly as cheesy and definitely written for kids). They put four seasons on Netflix, and after the first season, the two main mermaids disappear — NO EXPLANATION. And then, they replace the final mermaid, too. You'd think I would stop watching, but no. Me, my friend, and my boyfriend are HOOKED, and we're 25."
—areyoukidding
Netflix 16. Hated: Girls "Girls was just plain awful. The characters were all so vapid and selfish — there was no one worth rooting for or getting invested in."
—b492e17612
HBO 17. Loved: Slasher "Slasher was so bad, it was good. Every time I gasped, it wasn't because I was shocked or scared, but because I couldn't believe how bad the script was. Those poor actors. Katie McGrath deserved better."
—ravenbard
Chiller 18. Hated: Modern Family "Modern Family is TV at its absolute worst."
—karlaatx
ABC / Courtesy Everett Collection 19. Loved: Hemlock Grove Netflix / Courtesy Everett Collection 20. Hated: Big Bang Theory "I swear everyone in my life raves about that show, but I can’t ever make it through an episode. I think it’s just so, so annoying and there’s really no point."
—thatlaaaaadythere
Michael Yarish / CBS / Courtesy Everett Collection 21. Loved: Teen Wolf "Teen Wolf is a total guilty pleasure! It's awful, but also, it's wonderful. Stiles is life. *Heart eyes*."
—suncat
MTV 22. Hated: Bob's Burgers "I do not like Bob's Burgers . My family adores it and thinks something is wrong with me. It's not funny and a chore to sit through."
—zeilerra
Fox / Courtesy Everett Collection 23. Loved: Young and Hungry "Young and Hungry deserves to be on here. I mean, the humor is so cringey, and all the acting is overdramatic, but I love watching it."
—miscblogger92
Eric McCandless / Freeform / Courtesy Everett Collection 24. Hated: This Is Us "All everyone talks about is how they cried at every episode. Why do I want to watch a show that makes me sad? I can watch the real, live news for that."
—sarahw4a5589220
NBC / Courtesy Everett Collection 25. Loved: Bunheads "Bunheads was a very underrated, amazing TV show. My sister and I waited every week for it to come on, and it was our favorite. I was so bummed when they canceled it. It was kind of cliché, but it had really hilarious characters, and even the bad ones were funny."
—meganatorr
ABC Family / Courtesy Everett Collection 26. Hated: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt "A friend tried to get me to watch that Kimmy Schmidt show, and I thought it was hands down the worst television program I have ever seen in my life. But, hey, to each their own."
—ash_the_flass
Netflix 27. Loved: Four Weddings and a Funeral "Every single rom-com trope ever imagined is represented, and somehow, I cannot stop watching it and am still shocked when certain things happen."
—sitkal
Jay Maidment / Hulu / Courtesy Everett Collection 28. Also loved: Once Upon a Time "The plot got more ridiculous and convoluted as time went on. All of the characters were related in some way and the CGI was SO bad, but I couldn't stop watching."
—badspellaspella
Jack Rowand / ABC / Courtesy Everett Collection 29. Hated: Downton Abbey "I watched the first episode and was bored to tears. My god, I don't get why people thought it was good."
—kshepp10
PBS / Courtesy Everett Collection 30. Loved: Trial and Error "The humor was ridiculous, and the characters were even more so, but I loved every second of it. I was actually heartbroken when it got canceled after Season 2. Legit one of my favorite shows despite the sometimes over-the-top humor."
—kaleep43bdb1b45
NBC 31. Hated: Euphoria "I literally have to mentally prepare to watch it, and even when I do, I still end up feeling like absolute sh*t afterwards. The storyline is great and the characters are complex — it’s just a lot."
—diamondgemstone
HBO And finally... 32. Loved: The Secret Life of the American Teenager "The characters were so unlikeable, selfish, and immature. The whole show ended up being unintentionally hilarious with its horrible dialogue. It was my number one guilty pleasure."
