Superfan: The Story Of Vladimir
Vladimir Abouzeide, aka “Vladimir the Superfan,” was a staple of major WWE events and TV tapings throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s as he was consistently shown in the crowd reacting to big moments. Much like the cast of characters – “Brock Lesnar Guy,” “Green Shirt Guy,” that one guy always taking pictures on an old digital camera – you’ll see sitting ringside at modern WWE events, Vladimir added a great deal to the monthly broadcasts over the years.
The 2023 WWE documentary, Superman: The Story of Vladimir chronicles how a Haitian immigrant came to New York City and became one of the most vocal and most well-known wrestling fans of all time. Though it’s only a little over 30 minutes long, this incredibly personal and empowering documentary is a great watch.

The late, great Dusty Rhodes, a wrestler who had big moments in both WWE and WCW, will forever be known as one of the most colorful and inspirational figures to ever set foot in a ring. Nearly a decade before his 2015 passing, WWE released The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story, a charming documentary about the life, career, and impact the “son of a plumber” had on wrestling, and the world in general.
This is one of those old-school documentaries WWE produced back in the early 2000s that went to great lengths to honor trailblazers of the industry. Though it doesn't come with all the great matches that accompanied the documentary during its original release, The American Dream is something longtime and new fans will enjoy just as much.

WWE Evil (2022)
A strong yet sympathetic babyface is only as good as the heel on the opposite side of the ring, and luckily for faces like John Cena, Daniel Bryan (now Bryan Danielson in AEW), and Becky Lynch, WWE has always given its fan-favorite superstars some truly despicable counterparts. The Peacock original documentary series, WWE Evil, spends eight episodes diving into the careers of the company’s biggest and baddest heels.

Holy Grail: The Search For WWE’s Infamous Lost Match (2019)
Throughout the history of professional wrestling, there have been several examples of “the next big thing,” with Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and Roman Reigns quickly coming to mind. Although those three WWE prospects became multi-time WWE Champions and shoe-ins for the WWE Hall of Fame, others, like Tom Magee, never made it that far.
Magee is the subject of the 2019 documentary, Holy Grail: The Search for WWE’s Infamous Lost Match, which dives into what could have been for the one-time WWF successor to Hulk Hogan, as well as his supposedly stellar 1986 match against Bret “The Hitman” Hart. But like Magee’s WWE career, the tape of that infamous match soon disappeared and became something of an urban legend; that is until the tape was found and the world finally got to see what all the fuss was about.
