'1923' Fans Say the 'Yellowstone' Prequel Just Got "Even Better" With New Cast Member
1923 fans, a new character has been added to the cast!
On July 26, Deadline announced the exclusive news that The Ex-Wife star, Janet Montgomery, will be joining the 1923 cast for its second season on Paramount+. Janet will take on a recurring role in the Yellowstone prequel. According to Deadline, Janet will play “Hillary, a thoughtful woman who does not want to see injustice go unpunished.”
“Forever grateful for every opportunity I get to do what I love. Pinching myself over this one. 1923 and ME,” Janet captioned a post revealing the news on Instagram.
The 38-year-old actress’s fans were quick to share in her excitement. “You're a time traveler. Salem to present day ER to 1923. Next up Regency era duchess,” one fan commented. “A great show just got even better! Congrats,” another fan exclaimed. “Amazing cast. Can’t wait to see you in it. Best of luck,” someone else wrote.
Janet isn’t the only new face in 1923. Dexter alum Jennifer Carpenter will be joining the ranks, too. Jennifer will play “‘Mamie Fossett,’ a highly capable U.S. Deputy Marshall who serves warrants and makes arrests with confidence ahead of her time,” Deadline revealed.
As excited as fans are to see new actors join the prequel party, we’re even more eager for an official Season 2 premiere date. Only time will tell when we can expect to see Spencer (Brandon Skelnar) and Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) make their quest back to each other. In the meantime, we’ll be rewatching Season 1 in all of its riveting, romantic glory.
