2 Must-Watch Denzel Washington Thrillers Are Leaving Netflix Soon—But His Serial Killer Flick Is Staying
Bad news: Come the end of this month, not one, but two must-watch thriller films starring Denzel Washington (who has quite an impressive net worth) will be leaving Netflix. But don’t worry, I have good news: One suspenseful flick featuring the He Got Game alum is staying put on the streaming platform.
Per the official Netflix homepage, Washington’s Inside Man (2006) and Devil in a Blue Dress (1995) are set to leave the streaming platform on June 30. In case you haven’t had a chance to watch either film yet, now is as good a time as any to watch before it’s too late—because they are just that good.
Just to give a brief synopsis of both movies: Inside Man follows a detective (Washington) who has met his match with a bank robber (Clive Owen). When a loose-cannon negotiator enters the picture, the situation starts to spin out of control. Devil in a Blue Dress, which is, in my honest opinion, an underrated gem, is a film set in 1948 Los Angeles that follows a war veteran named Easy Rawlins, who is hired to locate a missing woman named Daphne Monet (Jennifer Beals). As a result, he finds himself in the middle of a murderous political scandal.
But turn that frown upside down because Denzel Washington’s The Little Things is staying on Netflix. The 2021 serial killer thriller (which dominated the number one spot on Netflix’s top ten movies list for weeks) follows Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon as he joins forces with detective Jim Baxter (Rami Malek) to track down a quick-witted serial killer who’s terrorizing Los Angeles.
Looks like I’ll be having a Denzel Washington movie marathon tonight.
