Hit dramedy The Bear – as shown with the impressive number of nominations listed above – is leading the pack with a record-setting 23 nods, the most in a single year. The show dethroned 30 Rock, which held the previous Emmy record with 22 nominations back in 2009. Shogun also came in swinging in 2024, rounding out the Drama nominations with 25 nods.
Jeremy Allen White – who leads The Bear as Carmy – took home the 2023 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Many are expecting a repeat win by the impressive actor.
“I’m so proud. I’m so full of gratitude to be standing in front of you all. I love the show so much. It filled me up. It gave me a passion, it set a fire in me to match the beautiful work done by [creators] Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo,” White said in his acceptance speech. “The beautiful cast and beautiful crew I get to share a space and stage with. My parents. I love you, thank you for your support.”
