2024 MTV VMAs Red Carpet Fashion: See All The Looks
Last year’s carpet at the 2023 MTV’s Video Music Awards had it all Taylor Swift (in a stunning black dress), Lil Nas X in a white headdress, Selena Gomez and so much more. But the guest list of honorees at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards promises to triple the action of last year with performances from Eminem (who is set to open the entire night), Chappell Roan Lenny Kravitz, Megan Thee Stallion, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello (to name a few) and loads of celebrities.
Taylor Swift is the most nominated musician of the night, with a total of 10 chances to nab a Moon Man trophy; additional nominees for the night include Olivia Rodrigo, Teddy Swims, Blackpink’s Lisa, Benson Boone, Anitta, Dua Lipa, Tyla, Bleachers and GloRilla.

The award show will be held at the UBS Arena in New York, and Megan Thee Stallion will make her hosting debut as emcee for the night. Megan is also nominated for 5 VMA awards this year as well. The too-close-to-tell categories include the best new artist nominees: Roan, Shaboozey, Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone, Tyla, and Teddy Swims. Along with the best new song of the year where Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em” is competing against Carpenter for “Espresso, “Jack Harlow for “Lovin’ on Me,” Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us, Swift and Post Malone for “Fortnight” and Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control.”
Additional stars we will spot on the carpet will include Post Malone, Miranda Lambert, and Anitta (who will also perform). Following last year’s 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop tribute – and his first VMAs performance in over 25 years – LL Cool J returns a performance of new music from his upcoming album “The Force.” He performed and took home his first Moon Person in 1991 for “Best Rap.”
