2024 People’s Choice Country Awards: Kane Brown to receive Country Champion Award
Fifty million singles sold later and Kane Brown is set to receive another honor highlighting that, alongside that success, he's also equally renowned in the world of charitable giving.
The "Like I Love Country Music" vocalist has been chosen to receive the Country Champion Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. A press statement notes that the multi-platinum singer-songwriter "will be honored for his passion for service and groundbreaking contributions to the country music industry and beyond."
In 2023, country icon Wynonna Judd received the Country Champion Award during the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards ceremony. Brown's history with the Boys & Girls Club
In 2022, Brown was honored with the Boys & Girls Club’s prestigious Champion of Youth Award in recognition of his commitment to serving young people, an honor the organization has bestowed on outstanding individuals who exemplify a commitment in this area.
Over the past half-decade, the performer has worked with the organization to, among many things, support a complete gymnasium renovation for Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio’s Broadway Club, as the grand marshal of Nashville's Ally 400 supported NASCAR's initiative with the Boys & Girls Clubs to educate club youth about career opportunities in motorsports, plus dedicating his 2020 single “Worldwide Beautiful” to raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of America "to advocate for justice and equality for young people," notes the organization.
“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy will extend beyond music,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment. “His dedication to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re thrilled to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”
2024 has also seen Brown nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, plus successfully release a series of collaborations, including "Miles on It," an EDM-meets-country single with producer Marshmello, and "The One (Pero No Como Yo)," a bilingual tropical house-meets-country duet with Regional Mexican Airplay chart-topper Cari?n Leo?n. This follows pairing with his wife, Katelyn (currently pregnant with their third child), for 2023's triple-platinum ballad hit "Thank God."
