All of the horrifying information that has come out about Diddy before and after his arrest has made people reflect on some past situations in which he was rumored to be involved. 2Pac’s brother recently expressed further uncertainty over the 54-year-old denying having anything to do with the late rapper’s murder.

Mopreme Shakur sat down with Piers Morgan on his show Piers Morgan Uncensored where they discussed Pac’s death via drive-by shooting in 1996. Morgan recalled a Los Angeles Times article in 2008 that acknowledged the Bad Boy founder potentially being involved in the “Hit ‘Em Up” rapper’s murder, though the article was later retracted.

Puff submitted a statement to the publication to clear the air: “The story is a lie. Neither I nor [The Notorious B.I.G.] had any knowledge of any attack on 2Pac before, during or after it happened.” Morgan asked Shakur for his thoughts and Shakur held nothing back. “My opinion is that I don’t believe it was a hundred percent honest statement,” he said. When asked if he thought the controversial mogul was lying, he said, “Quite possibly. It’s kind of looking that way, in my opinion.”

Mopreme Shakur recounted a phone call with Diddy and expressed that he wasn’t quick to believe what he had to say then. “He called me and I had Thug Life guys with me and we heard what he had to say. He basically said he ain’t have nothing to do with my brother’s murder,” he said. “I told him the truth has still yet to come out so we’re gonna see. Here we are, 28 years later, it looks like there’s some doubt in that statement.”

This comes just a few months after 2Pac’s family put together a new legal team to look into the murder and Diddy’s potential involvement. They were motivated by a new claim that the former REVOLT chairman put out a $1 million hit on the West Coast legend. Keefe D revealed in a 2008 interview that he was commissioned by Diddy to murder Pac, but he never received the payment. Notably, this past July, the murder suspect was also reported to have been working with LAPD in an undercover operation to implicate the “I Need A Girl” artist in Pac’s murder.

Whatever the result of this investigation is could lead to another domino falling for the former Making The Band star who is already on the hot seat. He is currently behind bars after being arrested in September for racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. His arrest was the latest chapter in what was an almost year-long saga full of several lawsuits related to sex crimes, his homes being raided by Homeland Security, and footage of him assaulting Cassie in 2016 surfacing.
